How to get comments

Very impressive, and refreshingly concise. My version would be thousands of words - ack! Yours is more USEFUL, by comparison.

The only extra concept I would have add would have been "and don't be hurt if everyone doesn't return a comment, because if your comment is good, others will surely see it and you'll still benefit from the exposure."

Oh, and something said about the value of a catchy avatar, but that might have deserved a tutorial all its own.

I was REALLY impressed with your positive/constructive/positive approach. I think people really shoot everyone in the foot when they END on "the down note," and you're right that this balance makes a much more helpful impression.
