I made this at work while battling a head cold. I took a thumb tack and laboriously put each hole in the can myself. Total work time was about 2 hours including time spent on work-related things.

For those of you who are wondering, the title is a referance to the Nirvana song, Pennyroyal Tea. In 1994, Kurt Cobain committed suicide with a shotgun. His last meal was a can of Barqs Rootbeer.


Barqs is a product of the Coca-Cola Corporation.

I like it... Interesting idea. Product of boredom, eh? I like how the light catches on the depressions caused by the holes, too. I like the connection with Kurt Cobain, too.

that's amazing. seems like something that would come of horrible boredom. it could be used for so many metaphors for life. then again, it is just a pop can full of holes

I was looking at thumbnails while searching for "cobain" and saw a rootbeer cans. I was like "what the heck does rootbeer have to do with kurt cobain??" Then I saw the full image and was very impressed after reading your caption. Keep it up.
